1. General Principles
Lesson times at Bower House Studio are reserved exclusively for each student. Once a place is offered and accepted, that time cannot usually be filled at short notice. For this reason, cancellations are handled according to the policies below.

2. School-Age Students (Term-Based Lessons)

• School-age lessons are enrolled and invoiced by school term.
• Enrolment is for the full term of lessons, aligned with New South Wales public school term dates.
• Once a term has commenced, refunds are not provided for missed lessons due to illness, holidays, or other absences.
• If a student is unable to continue partway through a term due to exceptional circumstances, unused lessons may be refunded at the studio’s discretion.
• Notice of withdrawal must be provided in writing. Notice in writing may be provided by email.
• This policy reflects the fact that lesson times are reserved for the full term and cannot generally be reassigned once the term is underway.

3. Adult Students (Subscription Lessons)

• Adult lessons operate on a rolling subscription basis billed in four-week periods.
• Subscriptions may be cancelled at any time by providing notice in writing. Notice in writing may be provided by email.
• Any unused lessons within the current paid period will be refunded in full.
• Lessons already delivered are not refundable.
• This structure allows adults flexibility while ensuring lesson times remain consistent and fairly allocated.

4. Lesson Absences and Make-Ups (All Students)

• Missed lessons are not credited or rescheduled when a student is unable to attend. This applies regardless of notice given.
• If I am unable to teach due to illness or emergency, you may choose to have the non-delivered lesson either rescheduled by mutual agreement or refunded in full.

5. Policy Acknowledgement

• By enrolling in lessons at Bower House Studio, families and adult students acknowledge and accept these policies as part of the studio’s terms of engagement.
