'Afterthoughts' by Richard Charlton
'Afterthoughts' by Australian composer and guitarist Richard Charlton (1955 - ), is a set of four short pieces written, as he says on the score, "...in the style of other composers." They are 'Cantilena' (after Torroba), 'Reverie' (after Debussy), 'Sarabande' (after Manuel de Falla) and 'Rondeau' (after Ponce). To my knowledge this is the first time all four pieces have been recorded together and presented in the order that Charlton specifies. 'Cantilena' is included in the current A.M.E.B. classical guitar syllabus. These pieces are original compositions by Richard Charlton, not my arrangements.
